I grew up in the small harbor town of Glückstadt near Hamburg, and I’ve always been drawn to visual storytelling - playful, meaningful, and timeless. Despite being told there’s no real future in the arts, I followed my instinct and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Illustration. That decision shaped not only my creative skills, but also my mindset: driven, curious, and unafraid to go my own way.

Today, I work across multiple disciplines - from illustration and graphic design to brand identity, packaging, corporate design, 3D and animation. What connects all these fields is my love for thoughtful concepts, visual harmony, and collaborative creativity.

shedodesign is the space where I express myself as a designer and artist.

It allows me to separate my personal life from my creative identity - so that the work takes center stage, not the individual.

At its heart, shedodesign is rooted in imperfection, emotion, and storytelling.

Inspired by the tactile warmth of paper, tape, and ink, it embraces the handmade and combines digital work.

This approach embraces design as a place where:

– stories are told through color and composition

– design is felt, not just seen

– imperfection becomes identity

 

In the long run, I aspire to become an art director - not only to lead creative projects, but to shape visual narratives with depth, emotion, and purpose. I want to create holistic visual experiences that connect concept, design, and story in a way that feels authentic and human.

As an art director, I want to bring that same sensitivity to visual storytelling - where every element, from color to typography to texture, communicates something honest and intentional. I envision working at the intersection of design and storytelling, building creative partnerships that leave space for both individuality and collaboration.
